An artist-driven visual description can be a very personal reflection, an artist’s assessment of the work. The details, or non-details, of their own work find their way into the visual description.
Five Easy Steps for Artists/Galleries to create visual description
- Send your image and information to us using a handy form.
- Write out a visual description. First provide the objective: what medium, what size, what is depicted. The subjective: what does this mean to you? Why did you create it? What significance does this piece have to you?
- Record your description.
- Review your page.
